cassie wang1Cassie Tammy Wang lives in Princeton Junction, New Jersey. Her art, “Self Portrait” was selected as a Top Ten Winner in our Summer 2015 national art contest. At the time of publication, she was twelve years old attending Thomas Grover Middle School.

From when she was a little girl, Cassie has enjoyed visiting art museums around the world. Cassie loves art and has attended Sharron Art Center since September 2012. Her teacher, Danielle Oyales, inspires Cassie a lot through teaching her various techniques using different materials from oil pastel, watercolor, color pencil, and current pencil sketch.

cw1Cassie’s talent has been reflected in many art contests. She has entered the Celebrating Art Contest three times so far, and all of her art works have been published (Happy Birds, Peaceful World, and Self Portrait are show). Moreover Cassie has been selected as Top Ten Winners twice (2013 and 2015 summers). Her 2015 Top Ten piece “Self Portrait” (shown at the bottom) was created by watercolor and reflects her love of art, music, literature, and beautiful nature.

cw2In addition, Cassie won the State 1st place in Conservation Poster Contest twice, the State 1st place and National 2nd place in Federation Aeronautic International (FAI) Art Contest “World Air Games-Dubai”, the Global 3rd place in Space Foundation International Student Art Contest “The View from My Spaceship”, and Global Top Ten in UNEP Children’s Painting Competition, etc.

Her art teacher refers to Cassie as an ambitious girl. She always likes to try new things. It is difficult to say what Cassie’s goal is for the future. At least currently art is her favorite.
